Assassin in Cantha's Elite Missions
Doh, I'm sure I posted this one, but apparently IE must have screwed the things again... anyway, I will waste my usual rant on the non-core + messmer classes and proceed without much delay.
I am aware that assassin is less than optimal choice for The Deep and Urgoz's Warren... still my assassin is my only PvE character, I love playing with him and I hate the retarded PuG mentality "We prefer level 15 monk with only ress signet, mending and frenzy on his skill bar instead of ritualist because all know that monks are always the better healers".
Having said that - I have zero experience with this two missions except some shadowform messing around killing the first 3-4 monsters.
My hopes in getting there with a PuG are practicly none, but soon we might do a guild run to one of the two places. So can you give me some advice on what builds to use for these missions? My best bet for Urgoz so far is some form of the critical barrager with a pet for suicide bomber vampires sweeping... though I hate the crittical barrager with a passion. Might try some Fevered Dreams + conditions heavy build for giving poison/deep/blind/cripple to the waves of mobs, but also not sure.
For The Deep i have no idea as well... considered some shadowstep/knockdown/moebious combo for disposing of things that have gone past the tank line, but not very sure about this one.
So can you recomend me so builds/party role for this two mission that will make me as usefull as assassin primary can be there.

i used to use my sin in Urgoz ALOT b4 i got my ranger and others there. I ran the A/R critical barrager with dryders def. i normally never died and my healing was covered with troll unguent, dmg wasnt either, and res sig of course. i was usually able to get a party pretty easily after i explained my build to the party. but i suggest instead of using ur sin for elite missions, use him for PvP GvG etc and/or A/E solo green farming (sins can farm many many bosses in cantha solo)

will the critical strikes attribute plus critical eye take care of the energy management so I can go with vampiric bow for some added damage/healing?
And does barrage build benefit from IAS?
And can anyone recoment something for The Deep?

Yeah... right. Not that the crittical barrager was so great anyway, but Anet decided to butcher him with the sharpen daggers changes. Since I can't see ONE situation where the old sharpen daggers were unbalanced... Anet, do you have some reason NOT to wany ANY assassin's in their home elite missions?

They thought wrong. Sharpen Daggers used to be something nice you could bring to the party. Now... waste of perfectly good money, that skill.
Sharpen Daggers + Conjure Element meant you could do some above-average DPS, especially if you were farming melee mobs. Whatever, we'll always have Death Blossom to Moebius.
